Japanese Spitz

The Japanese Spitz is a close relation of the Norrbotten Spitz, but the Japanese variety has developed as a separate breed in Japan, to which it was undoubtedly imported long ago. It has come upon the international scene not that long ago and is still comparatively rare. The Japanese Spitz is not accepted for championship competition by the American Kennel Club.

Exercise

This dog is natural herder, and it enjoys its freedom. However, it adapts well to the life of a house-pet with regular walks or supervised runs in the country. In addition, a large, fenced-in yard or garden will afford the Japanese Spitz the needed opportunity to run at will.
